in duke nukem news, is that duke nukem forever soon will be out!!! finally!!!
i have been waiting for this game for the longest time. unfortunatly, it's
taking longer than it should have. what happened was the duke nukem
team used the quake 2 engine for the game. that didn't work out because
the quake 2 engine can't support large outside areas
(personally,
i think that quake sucks) and the whole game of dnf is based on large
outside areas (which personally, i love). thanks to quake 2's crappy
engine, duke had to switch over to unreal's engine in the middle of the
production, which slowed down production of the game drastically.
the exact date of the release of the game has not been given out.
they report that it will be out "when it's done". but there are rumors
that the game will be out in june or july of 1999. Right now the
game is in the finishing stages of the making.
I just
got the latest information on duke nukem forever! The release date
is now set for SEPTEMBER 2.
It is not the definate release date though. As you have previously
seen, the release date has changed numerous times. So, it could go
to a later date possibly, or hopefully, go to a sooner date (even though
that is not very likely). But for now, the release date for Duke
nukem Forever is set for September 2.
